was your motivation for writing We Are Not Ignorant of His Devices?
This book evolved out of my Bible study sessions.
What is
the main message in this book?
This book uses examples from the Bible to teach readers the
strategies the devil uses to attack God’ people and it also shows them how to
deal with each of those attacks.
Can
you leave us with one lesson from We Are Not Ignorant of His Devices?
One important
lesson that I learned that we have to be very careful not to defeat ourselves
because sometimes when the enemy is unable to defeat us, he sets a trap for us
to defeat ourselves. This lesson is covered in the chapter on the Device of Seduction
which is from the book of Numbers when King Balaka hired Balaam to curse the
Israelites but he was unable to do so even though he tried 3 times and he said, God has not seen iniquity in the Israelites or seen wickedness in them.”
(Numbers 23:21)
Balaam then came up with a plan to make the Israelites sin by using
this device of seduction for the Bible tells us that It was through the counsel of Balaam that the Israelites sinned against
God in Peor and this caused the plague. (Numbers 31:16)
This sin that the Israelites sinned
in Peor involved committing harlotry with the Moabite women (Numbers 25:1) and
they were also invited to worshipped their gods. (Numbers 25:2) As a result, the
Israelites aroused God’s anger and a plague erupted which killed 24,000 of them.
Thus their own sinful actions destroyed them even though their enemies had been
unable to harm them.

verses that can be used as prayers, meditations and affirmations.
